It's late at night here in Santa Fe, our white Christmas has
begun early...I can see the snow covered road from my
window.

A baritone voice (yes, in my head, I admit it)
says "Welcome, Ellen to the blogosphere!"

Blogger made it easy..took less than five minutes to start
this blog. And who knows where it will take me?

Will anyone else be interested in reading my thoughts
(will I?)...

I've kept diaries since I was 16 and have a cabinet full..
but those were private, not on the internet.

okay, I've jumped in..more to come, but not for tonight.

Full-Fat Relationships (hold the olestra)

I had the most interesting conversation tonight with a fellow healer friend, interweaving ideas from nutrition, 5 element acupuncture and relationships. We were talking about someone she was dating..and how the experience was giving her a rush, similar to a sugar buzz..but after he left, her whole body went into a very depleted state. Then we were talking about the whole concept of romance in our culture..it's all about the initial "high" or the sugar buzz..and in that way of thinking, when the buzz wears off you just go find someone new. No real relationship or foundation for a relationship ever happens, it's just one romance after another (and all the crash and burn in between). It's very artificial and highly addicting, but leaves you empty. We compared that to the experience of olestra, the fat-like stuff with no calories, that tastes good (I hear) but messes your digestion up. Back to Blogging - with a whole new groove!

Hello my friends and readers! I'm reviving my blog and happy to be back...after four more life-changing years. And what a long strange trip it's been! (Yes, you may see me quote the Grateful Dead from time to time here...as well as Rumi and whoever else speaks to me...). As before, you'll continue to hear my musings, raves and a few rants....poetry, astrological and metaphysical info too...updates on my ever-evolving work with animals and humans (mainly women, but a few men too). Served up with a dollop of whatever else I cook up with Spirit in my local Cosmic Kitchen. This feels like mysteriously perfect timing as we prepare for the ending of 2020 and the shift from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius picks up pace. 2020: The year transformation went global and universal, not just the preserve of those on the growing edge. Change is NOT optional for anyone, anymore. So might as well learn how to ride the waves with more resilience, humor and wisdom...
